In reply to: wow...i watched the news last night the flooding is unreal up there guys, sorry bout that Hey Annie, no apologies necessary, wasn't your fault ;-) wish we could send some of it Pinky's way to help out with the crazee wildfires. sun is out today, though I'm going to wait a day for the lunchtime crag to dry out. MYbum forearm is killing today damn it, and I can't take the prescription Naproxen anymore. after a week and a half of it (and yes, I was taing it wit meals, at most 2 a day) my stomach hurts 24/7. fucking A, man.

In reply to: sorry to hear about your tummy, did you try milk with the meds? yeah done al the recommended. it's always this way with Naproxen. I can take it for a few days, but it always winds up making my stomach sore.. so now, not only does my arm hurt, but my stomach hurts too. no headache today so maybe I'm ahead of thegame. Ain't no fucking dignity in getting older.
In reply to: where's this lunchtime crag? accross the street from work, down a 1/4 mile, 10 minute hike into the local conservation land. you aren't actually supposed to climb there, because it's just over the line of a boyscout reservation (I got an e-mail the summer before last from the land manager. he was all pissed off I was talking about it, and had posted it on the RDB here) I still go there at lunch and boulder. no hassles.

Morning!! Rob, you're supposed to be resting, dumbass!! Thrashing on your wallie is not resting!! On the flip side, It's not just age. I whacked my knee on the corner of my desk last week, ya know how you're turning you office chair and you misjudge by *that* much and catch your kneecap on the drawers? I shook it off but it has become increasingly painful every day. I've been icing, taking meds and avoiding stairs and it's still getting worse. Oh yeah, and on the way in this morning I saw this giant ball of fire in the sky... it scared me. I think we're all doomed. Coffee??

lots of sun here today folks. Here's hoping it stays for the long weekend. Two more days til skaha. I'm going climbing with a couple of friends It will be Lena's first time on the rock. She from Sweden and has a work visa for the year here in canada. The hubby won't be joining us; he has a work conference in Charlotte, NC. I was going to join him, too bad. I've never been to that part of the US.

Worst part is it didn't even feel that bad, it's the progressive nature that is bugging me

In reply to: ... how long you got for lunch robb....lol It's about a 15-18 minute deal desk to rock. If I'm bouldering, I can get in a decent 35-40 minutes before I HAVE to head back to the desk. I'f I'm doing some fixed-line self belay, that translates to about 5-6 laps. ;-) I count it as part of my benefits package ;-)
