Does anyone know any examples (such as names and accomplishments) of some free soloing ice climbers that have climbed a number of climbs in the same day? I read about a guy free soloing a number of WI5's and WI6's all on the same day but can no longer find the reference.

Might have been Will Gadd, check his website @ http://www.gravsports.com/ 'Cause I remember that he did indeed link a number of routes in the Ghost-area, and wrote a nice article of it. Sadly can't remember if he did indeed solo 'em.

Ueli Steck soloed the 340 m WI 6 route "Crack Baby" and "The Young Spider" in the North Face of the Eiger, a 1800 meter route containing WI 6!

Soloing Ice is pretty normal so a lot of guys just go out and do it without all the spray and pre placed photo/ video teams that the rock jocks seem to have set up when they need to do a soul searching solo just for themselfs  here in the nort east, Will Mayo and Shimburg have done some publicised big solos but some other guys have done some pretty big quiet ones.
