Some of you likely know that I work at Backcountry.com. I've been
meaning to pass along a little savings to the RC.com community for a
while now.
Just to clarify, I solidly believe in supporting your local climbing
shops, so if you frequent a local shop, or if you have another
favorite online retailer that's cool.
However, if you're headed to backcountry.com anyway you might as well
be able to tell your wife/husband/partner/bf/gf that your hours put in
on RC.com is paying off in actual savings. At least, that's the basic
idea behind the rationalization.
Anyway, if you'd like to get a code for roughly 15% off (varies
between 10-20% off depending on the item) for just about anything on
the site (a couple of brands won't allow for discounting of any kind),
let me know by sending me a PM.

I just used the discount to purchase a metolius hangboard, something I've been meaning to do for a while. So you can feel good that your little advertising scheme got me to buy something, and I can feel good because I got a sick discount.
Life is about feeling good.

I just sent out a bunch of codes today.
However, I just want to clarify one thing. I've received a bunch of requests from people that have never made posts on this site. In fairness because I didn't mention this before I sent you out codes anyway. BUT, I was hoping to give this discount to people that have been actively engaged, and contributing on RC.com. (Kinda a treat for helping to make this a rad place for all of us the hang out at.)
What does this mean???
Just FYI, I look at all your profiles before I send out a code. If it appears that you've been here awhile, and have been giving something to the site. No worries, I'll send a code right over. If your new to the site it's not a big deal (I'm new too). Just get involved. You don't need to make 10,000's of posts. Just give advice were you can, and maybe help update the routes in your area.
Also, when you send me over a PM please include your name, and an E-mail address I can reach you at.

Was looking for some good deals on used gear and came across your post. What a super cool thing to do!! Although I am new to RC.com I am still hoping you will "share the love"... I'll make it a point to give something back to in return. Thanks a bunch. It will definitely be put to good use.
