Thanks very much dxmetal. I just bought a New England Ropes 9.5 mm KMIII Static Rope - 200, already discounted to $114.00, for $91.20 shipped =). Both coupons do indeed work, and they do stack nicely (apply the 20% off first to get the most out of it!). (Edited, sorry, I was having a blonde moment . . .)

In reply to: (apply the $10 off first to get the most out of the 20%!). You'll want to do the opposite of that. Take the 20% first, that way it's coming from a higher starting price. 20% of 200 is more than 20% of 190. Great code, by the way!! :D

If you do high altitude mountaineering, you can get some discounted new bibler tents. Just go to http://www.northernmountain.com and search for the word "bibler".

I thought this was pretty cool: instead of paying $29.99 for the DVD, I downloaded and watched the new Bachar movie at totalvid.com for $3.99..(the license to watch it is valid for a week..) It was a great movie, but because of the dearth of live action climbing sequences, not something I would watch over and over.. Therefore I would have been bummed if I paid $30 for the DVD and this deal worked out pretty good for me..

I saw that website and wondered if you could burn the videos on DVD after you watched them. Any such luck?

I don't have a burner but I'd be almost positive they have some kind of encryption that prevents it.. Though after spending some time on a movie set recently and realizing what a hell of a lot of work making a movie is, I probably wouldn't burn it anyway..I really can't use the starving student excuse in good conscience anymore

The specs column at the right of the page says 70m, but the size selector says 60m. I was tempted to buy it at 70, since I don't have any ropes that long.

I got a pretty great deal on outside mag from a seller on ebay for $10 for 3 years. I was skeptical but figured for 10 bucks, if i only receive one year, i did ok... BUT it's been over a year and i'm still receiving. I ended up buying national geographic on ebay too. really cheap prices.

A good amount of stuff on sale at Oregon Mountain Community (www.e-omc.com). Best deal I've found are the BD micro stoppers, about 50% off, all sizes. Check out the climbing stuff at http://www.e-omc.com/catalog/specials.php?category_filter=42
