Serious Question: Does anyone re-anodize their gear to mark it uniquely? :?: I know some guys that used this on barrels in order to keep them from getting mixed up with the rest of their team. Might be worth looking into for the uber-paranoid climber out their. Cheers, -Dave

I gave up on marking gear. Damn tape comes off and leaves trash and a sticky residue. Nail polish wears off after a while. I just rack everything in a specific way so I notice if something is missing, then I sweat all my partners until I get it back.

Nail polish works better then tape. I think the adhesive on the tape can be alot more of a mess once the tape falls off. And then there is always the problem of the adhesive getting on ropes & slings.
