It looks like the URL tags in my profile (and I assume others) weren't migrated.

Edit: URL tags in the General forum seem to have migrated correctly.

It's not a bug it's a feature. Wink We do not allow HTML in the Profile descriptions anymore.

Is that going to be permanant ???

I, and 1,000's of other users put a great deal of effort into creating their profiles, and some are very informative and good looking as well as adding a very personal touch to the site. I have seen several users refer to the current state of the new site as "sterile", and this definately adds to that impression.

If you have already decided this is a permanant "feature", I am curious as to your reasoning behind this decision, as I don't see it as a feature but instead a "flaw".

I have left all the stuff there for now, since it took me hours to input, in the hopes that you will allow HTML and/or BB tags in user profiles.

Definitely not a feature and not appreciated. It worked before, I spent a lot of time on it. why doesn't it work now?

It's not like I go to my profile very often. I was surprised to check it out and find it looks like garbage.

I'll be happy to appreciate some new changes in the site when I find them. So far, the first thing I ran into was this bug

Peace

Karl

It has of course been discussed during the beta testing. The homogeneity and simplicity and clarity of the profiles ("it's rc.com, not my webpage" or so) is the main reason for this.
My profile has always been very simple so I don't really care.
A few more codes (like paragraphs and pics) have been asked though.

What possible negative effect can BB Tgas or even Mark Up have ??? sangiro made a good point (via PM) on why he does not want to allow HTML, and I have to agree, but that does not addess BB or Mark Up.

Many users spent a lot of time, and made some very informative and slick profile pages... How can it not only add "content" to the site ???
