Just wondering if anyone has tried, or know of anyone who has done this to their NOMIC tools. I am thinking of putting some leashes on, for the bigger ice routes.

I have a set of homemade bungee leashes I use, but I have not tried my quark leashes on them.

If you really wanted to you could put a set of BD Androids on them. I've done that with my Taa-k-oons and it works great as I only climb leashless about 60% of the time. The Grivel Spring leash works great too. Some people run some thin cord (3mm or less) through the handel hole to clip them to as the small biner gets in the way a little with where the hole is.

I have the petzl ergo and modified the tool and added some 4mm chord to it. I made a leashless leash for my ergo to directly copy the Grivel Double-spring that they don't make any more for now, but maybe later....at any rate, if you want to see what i made check this out! http://vdotmatrix.googlepages.com/leashedpetzlergo

I don't know what happend to my response a while ago, but i'll try again. i used 9/16th tubular webbing and flat elastic; I had 4-5 bar tacks sewn for loops on each end of a 7foot length and for a loop in the middle for attaching to my harness. looks really nice. HOWEVER! I have 4mm chord passing through the aluminum space in the ERGO's frame inside the handle and I am not sure if the ERGO's frame design would support weighting. Even though I designed this tool leash to support weight if necessary using a beiner wrap to take up some slack if I needed to hang for some reason on my harness, there isn't much metal there and boy it would suck if it broke. I am using this leashless tool leash to keep the tool in close proximity in case I blow and spewtool.
