I'm heading to Japan probably in late June or early July. I'll be visiting relatives, but I plan to finish "climbing" Mt. Fuji and would relish the idea of doing some real climbing elsewhere in Japan. I'll be staying two hours north of Tokyo but I have family in Kyoto as well. My Japanese is shaky, so I'll need someone who speaks English. Any takers? :)

Too early to know exactly what I'll be up to then, but I'm usually around and climbing. (I live in central Tokyo, and climb regularly at various crags around the area.)

You probably already know that June/July means rainy season over here. That usually means that all plans are finalized on Friday evenings, based on the most current weather report.

Drop me a note with more detailed info. when you get closer to the time of your visit, and let's see what we can set up.

Yup, I'll second JesseB on that. And if you're two hours north of Tokyo, you might actually be fairly close.
