I am going on a road trip in March and am looking for the best destination for sport climbing in the US during the month of March, routes, weather, seepage... Desirable difficulty is in the 5.11-5.13 range with enough good climbs for a few weeks. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Utah/Arizona/Nevada are good. Utah can still be a bit chilli, but if you stick around St. George it can be nice (went last year, cold but climbable).

Red River Gorge? That's the first thing that comes to my mind, especially coming from MA (1/4 the distance as going out west). If you want to venture further, Foster Falls TN and Little River Canyon AL have many hundreds of moderate-hard sport routes between them.

Thanks for the response. What's the weather in the RRG in March like and are there any seepage problems. Thanks

Don't know how far is too far, but Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in NW Arkanas offers cheap camping, slightly less cheap cabins, and about 250 sport routes up to 5.13 that you can walk to from your tent. http://www.climbhcr.com/ Plus, you could get in some great paddling on the Buffalo National River, right across the highway. Weather in spring here is generally good. Temps in the 50s and 60s during the day, but rain can be an issue. PM me if you need more info.

The New River Gorge has over 4000 routes. You should be able to find enough to keep you entertained for a few weeks.

red river gorge is definantly where you should go in march. a lot of people go there for spring break. i went last year in march and it was rainy for a few days and then sunny and warm and then a little cold but we got so much climbing in. there are a lot of places to climb there even when its raining.
