Looks like a heap of fun, guys!! Would love to try and make next years Ice Fest. The only one I've been to was in 98. The wifey and I will look into it, save for anything that might come up between now and then. We do have 350 or so days to plan it.

Being my first time (i am talking about ice climbing of course), this was a FANTASTIC trip...met a buttload of once faceless RC.commies and enjoyed the ice, the nightlife in Ouray, hanging out in the buff with you all at Orvis, eating elgrosso guacomole at Buen Tiempo with the crew, drinking three whole beers the entire time (more than i drank last year TOTAL---no sh-kiddin eitha). And about those auctions that everyone mentioned we all spent tons of money on, my careful calculations had RC.com folks at nearly $3000.00 in contributions with Reno and his lovely lady divvying up about 33% of that total!!! What DO those people do in Arizona I wonder ??
Ironically on Main Street, I saw the dude that "caused" me to become interested in climbing AND running 8 years ago...once had a bigass crush on him, he's married now, blah blah blah...never liked him much anyway 
I am SOOOOOOO looking forward to 2008's Festival...if all goes well, i hope to either be renting or buying a house RIGHT in Ouray by then---woot woot!! Big dreamer I am, I know!$$!  If this happens, I might share my address with any of you who are not currently rolling your eyes in disbelief and saying "yeah F***ing right, Leisa!!"
Does anyone think that the Festival would be even cooler with live music either at the festival itself or in the evenings?...oh shite, there was live music on Saturday night...it was just slightly on the side of unlively.
Did I mention that the Honda Hybridmobile got Rudy and I out there and back on $40.00!!
Maybe next year I will consider winning the Mixed comp, Slackline, snowshoe, pullup, eating, AND drinking contests----HA!! 
See you all next year, if not sooner. I would love to get out with your Front Range freaks on both ice and rock in the meantime-----PEACE OUT!!

i don't "outclass" anybody...in fact, the normal protocol when someone fancies that they "outclass" is to tie them to the lower bridge (in their underwear, of course) and let reno pontificate about politics for about an hour.
and heck yeah, talk with the wife, and bring her for sure. my wife comes and she doesn't even climb. just kicks around in crampons and picks me up off the community center floor after a dozen or so 1554s. she's the best.
