Perhaps around breakfast sunday, before the clinics would be good? We could all eat pancakes together or something. Sunday breakfast sounds good. I'm sure we'll all be floating around bumping into each other at random anyhoo. I like the idea of a meeting place and time. I met a shitload of RC.com people last year, but still missed a bunch, too. I'll suggest Saturday night during the party, maybe someplace around one of the bars? That way we can be partying together and plotting for Sunday climbing. Folks I want to give everybody a heads up. It looks as though there will be a larger police presence at this year's Rendezvous. Some things to keep in mind to stay out of trouble: 1. If you're drinking, please please please do not drive. 2. Carpool! Use designated drivers! 3. Or just bring what you need for the night and stay at the Rendezvous! 4. All dogs have to be leashed. 5. Parking is always scarce at the NRR, so again, carpool, arrive early, plan on staying the night or at least staying until you're done for the evening. Once you leave each night, it will be very difficult to find another parking space. 6. We ran out of beer at around 11PM last year. Hopefully, that won't happen again, but if you want to be prepared, be aware that glass containers are not allowed on Park property. PBR cans? No problemo. 7. Lastly, remember that what you do reflects on all of us. Let's not give them a reason to think even more police are necessary!

I'm officially in for the Rendezvous!! I told my boss I'd quit instantly if I didn't get the three day weekend. I'm hoping to be up there a few times between now and then, although it sounds like ya'll have things under control. If there's anything I can help with before the shindig, lemme know. Mark

It turned out pretty well actually, the blue of the skie really saturated nicely, I've been meaning to post the photo, but have been backed up on stuff. I'm doing the red for 3 days, but I'm sure I'll see you around. -Danno

I just realized that I already have a 4 day weekend that weekend off from work....sweet! Still too far off to say if I can go or not, but I'd like to. I'm having my eyes zapped the month before, and that might be the biggest problem (I have to see how the healing goes). So, seeing as I'm far too lazy to go through the rest of the thread....anyone know if any Canadians will be making it down? It'd be sweet not to have to drive all by my self.

The closest city to the New is Fayetteville, right? Mapquest is giving me 7.5 hours to get there, which really isn't bad..... If I have to go by myself how easy will it be to find partners down there? Edited to add that I still don't know where I'll be at with physically being able to lead/belay a leader. I'm still waiting to go out and see how much pull I can handle on my harness before it hurts to damn much.

You should have no problem finding partners. You could always find partners on this thread prior to arriving too. I will be at a clinic on Sunday, but I will be out climbing on Saturday.

We don't climb to hard, but if you're in the shape to climb I never mind belaying for a while. Hell even if you can't climb or belay at all, just come down. Myself and plenty of others likely won't mind having company on the trail or having someone with a camera hangin around. You'll be fine whichever way it goes down. Peace. Colby.
