Probably hold up just like the price. I bet they are the ends of rope rolls.

It's a 60 meter rope, and good enough for Beal to put their name on it, why should it matter whether it's from the end of the roll?

I've had an Edlinger II 60m 10.2 non-dry for four seasons now, and it's been great. Good price, nice hand, has worn well and absorbed a lot of abuse. I'll probably buy another one of these if they're available when I need to replace the one I have now.

You have to be either in a big rush or pretty darn foolish to spend $200.00 on a 60m single rope. You can allmost allways find a good rope on sale for $114.95 Finding a good one for $84 is jsut classicCool

What makes you come to that conclusion? Why would it matter? The only reason ropes cut from the end of a roll are cheaper is because they don't have enough left to make a full length rope (ie. the the 70-120' ropes you see for sale on some websites). The rope itself would be identical to the rest of the spool, just shorter in total length. This rope is a full 60m rope.

You ever see the end of a long roll of paper?
Coils up like a spring. Ropes are no different.

The Edlinger has been under $120 for years. I got mine 2 years ago for @ $115 and I love it. Best rope I've had in fact.

Sweet deal at $85!

Is that to say the model is discontinued? Thanks for the heads up, but not in the market at the moment.

No, Beal still makes the model. But, you'll probably never see one for $85 again.

$97.97 just now when I looked, 52 left. Still a dang good price on a good rope, dry with a center mark.
I bought one of these 6 months ago for $129.

That's nothing. I got my Mammut 11mm rope in 1982 for $79 and I still use it. Run the amortization on that.

They are. Originally, they had both the dry, and non-dry versions, with around a ten dollar difference in price. They are now sold out of the non-dry and only have the dry left.

I bought the non-dry version.
