is there trad climbing around Anchorage? enough for a week or so? recommendations? or a good guidebook for that? prefer single pitches, but multi's up to 4 pitches or so would work too. not completely allergic to sport, if there's any. can lead 5.10's comfortably on gear. this will be in june/july have looked, but not much info in the AK RDB on here. much thanks for the help Sean

There is no climbing in Alaska at all. So save your money and go to Yosemite or J-Tree. Lots more climbing there.

ok, thanks. will just go check out the crevasses then, if i get lucky and fall into one. my partner will be doing some field work up there. she has to learn to shoot and kill with a rifle, on account of the animal attacks. but me, i won't kill the animals. i love animals. i'll just shoot them in the knee caps
