the problem with a MD gathering is that there is scant of a place to hold one in MD. the best option would be seneca or the like in WV, but then would it really be a MD gathering . . . ? don't get me wrong, i'm all for the idea, but its tough in our flat state. we can gather anywhere anytime, even if its not specifically a MD gathering. lets just climb!

thanks anne! any maryland climber better know of indy's guide. if not, it will be published & made available in hardcopy soon. although the guide is loaded with maryland crags, most of them are fairly small. imho, theyre not big enough to host a gathering. when my group (10-15) heads out to the crags we often "bitch sling" the whole area. just our own stupid colloquism (sp?). but a handful of ropes will usually cover the entire cliff area. all are welcome to explore what maryland has to offer, but it gets crowded quick. if you wanna come down, lemme know & i'll show ya 'round! (always a nittany lion at heart!!) [ This Message was edited by: clymberboy on 2002-10-28 06:21 ]

We tried to have a meeting down at Seneca two weeks ago, nobody showed except one or two. I think that thread died with someone talking about how good some teenager was. if you guys really are interested I would vote for Seneca. Pat.
