If you are talking about the Palisades in Garretson, SD then you can get guide books in Sioux Falls at the Great Outdoor Store which is downtown, or maybe Scheels which is on 41st Street.

If you are interested in the Mississipi Palisades try logging on to RockClimbing.com and you may find some info on routes and access. I have a copy of a guide book but it is about 15 years old and is probably out of print, but there may be something available if you inquire of any locals you see climbing in the area. Good luck!

I suggest you check carefully with locals, please; there are closures and access issues that you need to be aware of, so as to keep climbing at Mississippi Pallisades open in general. I don't have specifics, but if you can check with the Iowa access fund rep, Evan Fales, he should be able to help.

What you need is a copy of _River Rock_ by Bill Collett and Gary Taylor, for about $15. Call any of the shops in the north half of the state and they should have copies. Since you already know your way around the trails, the guidebook should get you where you need to go pretty easily, especially since everything's laid out along Route 84 anyway.
