I was at the gym this weekend and a guy who was climbing was trying to "set a record" to see how many times they could climb the wall. I would have had no problem with this if it wasant such a busy day but it was and almost all the ropes were being used. Plus when he was done and I belayed someone on the wall the rope was all sweaty and nasty from being used for so long. I didn't say anyting but I was a little upset. Whats your opinion on this? Repeating a route in a gym to failure is a valuable method of training, so it sucks that the gym was crowded when he was trying it but it's also kind of what gyms are for. A

As you are a climber from Michigan you will probably take a trip or two down to Red River Gorge in KY. And like most people who go there for the first couple of times you will go to the overpopulated areas... then you will know what standing in line means.

Are they as bad as the lines in Eldo on the weekends? Its just odd seeing queues on trad climbs. Just odd.
