I'm going to make the assuption you're asking about a home wall, not a gym wall. If I'm not correct in that, disregard my post. I haven't a pics, but it cost about $300 in materials, not including tools (which I already had). Here's what it was spent on (roughly) $60 on lumber, consisting of some 2x4's for a frame, and several sheets of 3/4" plywood for surface. $220 on holds, I bought the bulk package that Cheap Holds, Inc offers (http://www.cheapholds.com). Some people don't like them, but I don't have any major problems with them. The package ships with about 50 holds (a variety, some jugs, crimps, a few slopers, and a bunch of chips, all good in variety, some have interesting shapes) and plenty of T-nuts to bolt your holds with, as well as enough bolts. The only problem is that cheap holds uses 7/16" bolts, most other companies use 3/8" bolts, so there are some compatibility issues if you want a mixed wall. $15 on misc items, like lag bolts (to fasten everything together) and a 7/16" drill bit. You'll also need a pair of saw horses, a drill, a socket wrench (if you use the lag bolts like I did), and other basic carpentry tools. My wall is rather small, about 40 square feet, but extra plywood is cheap if you go bigger. Edit: Before any of you say, "Wait! That doesn't add up to $300!" I remind you all that these are all estimates.
