OK - I wanna send my Mythos and my Katanas out today for a re-soling. What is the best in your opinion? I would like to put C4 rubber on them. Positive Resoles' website does not appear to operating right now.. Thanks Zak

I have been using the Rubber Room for years and am satisfied with thier level of service. I've heard good things about Fly'n Brian's as well.

Thanks for the link - I think I'm going to go with Rock and Resole - they got the best reviews. Apparently, some of the resoling (rand/toe box) is subjective in some cases. They seem pretty straight about resoling what needs to be done and nothing else. Any experience with this? Thx Z

Yosemite Bum does a fantastic job - good rubber (eVolv) and their turn around time is great as well all for a good price. I know you had said C4 in your post, but so far their rubber is wearing well and I don't notice any difference between it and the easily worn C4 rubber.

OK - I switched to the Rubber room - still C4. Since this is my first resole, I want to see how the C4 performs on my Katanas. I may try Yosemite Bum next time. thanks Z

i'm experiencing a wave of helpfulness right now. can't explain it. i use Rubber Room and Yosemite Bum depending on which shoes i'm resoling. XSV is good on sandy rock if yous be smearin lots but i like C4 if theres only lil nubbies the size of pillbugs to put my toes on. Evolve trax or whatever the hell they call it is a really good allaround rubber. every co will be able to tell you whats wrong with your climbing-----i mean shoe. but then again i could be making all this up-----

Yosemite Bum rocks. Great rubber, great turnaround, and unmatchable customer service.

I've used both Dave Page and The Rubber Room. The Rubber Room will never touch another shoe of mine. They took way longer than they said during the initial contact and when I asked for my shoes so I could climb in Yosemite they seemed very annoyed that I would dare keep them to their time estimate. When the shoes arrived it was less quality than I've seen on other jobs. First resole on my Mythos and they are junk. Both toes came apart. Rand repair delammed right away. Not even repairable. Bob

Bob Strange. I had the exact opposite experience with Rubber Room. Not only did I have the shoes back in the time I needed them, the quality seemed to be also high (the resoled shoes lasted very long in all the cases I got them resoled by Rubber room).

Rock and Resole has never let me down. I live in Boulder so it's like a 3 day turnaround time.

I've used Dave Page Cobbler (Seattle, WA) and Barry's Resoles (Auberry, CA). I was very pleased with both resolers work. I just sent in another pair to Barry.

I only used them because I have a partner that was pleased with their work also. I do not know why the shoes came apart, but after the phone contact it sold me on the fact that I will do business elsewhere. It just seems funny that these are the only resole I've ever seen come apart in this manner. I will always praise good work and service, but also feel it is my obligation to the community to let the opposite known also. Bob

I'll second that - i got my shoes resoled there last year - they did a bit of a toe wrap and fixed a small hole as well - i'd been afraid i pushed the shoes too far. Nice folks, good work, fair price. What more could you ask for?

I've sent a lot of referral business to Yosemite Bum over the last several years but lately I've been recommending Rock and Resole. Both do top notch work but the turnaround time on YB has been terrible. A friend of mine recently got her shoes back after nearly 8 weeks. I had a pair resoled last month with R&R with an 8 day turnaround (including shipping). If you're not in a hurry to get your shoes back I recommend Yosemite Bum but otherwise R & R rocks. d.

In the past I had good experiences with Yosemitebum but lately it took them forever and they also screw up one of my shoes with a terrible job. I'm guessing the quality is going down with the large volume of works - such unfortunate. I think I'm going to try Rock and Resole next.

thumbs up for Barry's Resoles [again]. great guy and great work. the only person who has some secret voodoo to keep Mythos from delamming, unlike The Romper Room in recent months--- ---Barry's Resoles: [559] 855-4511 [and no, i don't get no kickbacks for these props]
