i'm looking to move to mamore gap just outside derry, in a year or so, but am getting excited about it now. i need to find out the important things, is there any good climbs around there, bouldering, trad, sport, deepwater solo, anything!

Not sureabout NI, but you are striking distance from North Wales.... where there is a ton of classic climbing... a ton...

cheers cameltoe, huge fan of snowdon area llanberis etc. need to explore some more round the rest of north wales though. got any favourites away from snowdonia?
can't bloody wait to go to ireland, just found out there's a guy there who hunts with a falcon! bog off ray mears.

hmm, falcon hunting quite normal on our side of the pond..
other good areas are gogarth and tremadog..
I would definitely invest time in trips to the peak district as well if you can, further afield, but stannage is a world class veune..as is froggat to name but two..

well that makes four. easily enough to be getting on with for now. thanks. i'll definately check out the peaks some time soon. which side of the pond are you talking about, am i barking up the wrong tree??
