+1 for John Long's anchor book... try to get the newest one, it's got lots of good pictures and descriptions in it. Also, look up the Anchor critiquing threads those probably have some good examples in them.

CDN wrote: Is this not a valid question, or why isn't anyone taking me seriously? It's a sorta valid Q, but it's also a good one to have some fun with. Personally, I'm not the type who would take pictures of gear placements, but i am sure there are others who do, and I bet they'll post them up once they see you thread. I'm guessing the "pro photographer" type coincides with the cubicle dweller type, and thus, I expect your thread will pick up in earnest once the weekly cube migration begins... At present, being the weekend, they are busy doing weekendish things, like slushing it up in the bars and sleeping the day away, or lawn work, or around the house repair crap, or as many will have us believe, out slaying 5.betterthanmeandyou routes like a samurai weekend warrior. Let's see how my hypothesis develops.....

Let's see how my hypothesis develops..... I work in a cubicle. It's funny what people think that has come to represent, dull and boring work, nothing changes, absolute hell. Like having an office makes any difference. Or commercials talking about being your own boss, making 10k a month. Yeah, that's exactly what I want, life suddenly has meaning. Was it the money, or being in charge of the direction of your life? Splendid, sign me up. I guess everybody needs to compare themselves to something, it's the only thing that really gives it meaning. affectionately, Dick

Um ... What is passive pro??? That picture was taken during a rescue course, and at least 8 people had their racks there, including the instructor's bucket o' gear. There was plenty of gear to play with.

There was plenty of gear to play with. And apparently none of them knew how to place a cam. I wouldn't hang my hat on that .75 camalot.

There was plenty of gear to play with. Well next time you play with all that gear you should look for a tri-cam or hex in the bucket... then you won't need 7 pieces for an anchor... j-
