I like mine. Have had mine for 3+ years. The closed cell foam is starting to weaken. I can feel the pad bottoming out on 8 foot fall now. I would still recommend the pad though. Also like the Metolious with the diagonal folding option - also see the recent review in climbing or R&I.

This is good to hear. I was looking at the cordless or a MEC pad. I think the cordless may be the way to go.....

Generally I'm not a fan of things Black Diamond, but it would be worth looking at the Franklin "Drop Zone". Its beefier than the dlux, and cheaper, and bigger than the Metolius, which is also a nice pad. That being said, I own the Dlux and have been happy with it.
