Just back from six days of climbing at Tuolumne and the Leap... second day back at work and I'm still utterly blissed and mentally on vacation. This was my first trip to both places and as always, it was the best climbing trip ever...

Nice read. I like the fact that you managed to get food at the Lee Vining Mobile. I got stiffed, but someday I'll make it back.

stiffed? were you there when it was closed?

the food was okay, the peoplewatching was great. I wanted to see someone on the trapeze, but it just wasn't our night...

ahhh... I see (I read your blog post). Can't believe you guys drove through Tuolumne without climbing... then again, I've driven through a lot of utah before without climbing, so really, who am I to talk.

If it makes you feel any better... while the Lee Vining Mobil fish tacos are world famous, my particular plate was good but not the best I've eaten. The fish was, in fact, fantastic. The beans were cold, though, which I couldn't quite get past.

Well, that makes me feel better. Not much worse than cold beans when it comes to a Mexican dish.

As for Tuolumne, we just didn't have the proper logistics in place to plop down and climb. I wish we had, but it was not meant to be. Another time, though.
