My university's climbing club took a trip to Red Rocks just before RRR this year. There were thirteen of us (twelve by the end). I realize I'm posting this quite a bit later, but I've got nothing to do and figured you guys might like the videos!!
I've linked three videos below from the trip, but I'll give a bit of a break down here:
Day 1 (Sunday): MORNING SNOW!! We climbed at a SHARP limestone crag (lone mountain? or near lone mountain? whichever one has an area called the "gun club.")
Day 2 (Monday): We bouldered in Calico Basin. One girl broke her ankle by landing awkwardly on a poorly situated crashpad. Longest piggy-back ride I've ever given someone.
Day 3 (Tuesday): Drove from hospital to hospital helping the girl that broke her ankle. Eventually it's decided that she needs surgery. Some folks do a bit of bouldering before dusk. Mostly a rest day for everyone.
Day 4 (Wednesday): Girl flown home early morning for surgery. The remaining twelve climb at Sunny and Steep in Calico Basin for the day.
Day 5 (Thursday): Climbing at Panty Wall and Black Corridor.
Day 5 (Friday): Start the drive back home.
