Stevens Point is a decent drive from Eau Claire. I don't know much about northern Wisconsin but from what I've experienced and read, most climbing is located along western or souther Wisconsin. That aside, Eau Claire isn't too far from Red Wing and Taylor Falls, neither of which I've been to but other climbers have raved about. I'm hoping to make a trip up that way around September some time. If you're interested in climbing there I can drop you a line.

Sport and TR. I haven't learned trad yet but I'd like to. I'll send you a PM when I'm up that way. Let me know if you find any other decent places to climb around there.
