I got a small comp coming up at my schools gym. Anybody have anything special to do to prepare throughout the week. I read the post on what to do the night before, but still wonder about log term prep. Thanks.

dude...at least a week of rest before the comp. it only takes a couple days for your muscles to recover but it takes about a week for your muscles to recover to full potential. Definitely do not climb hard a couple days before the comp unless you want to poop out early. carb up all week!!!

Thanks for the advice. I took two days off before the comp which I think helped. I ended up placing 3rd in advanced. I was real suprised and stoked. Anyway it being a comp, I wasnt about to stop for a couple flappers and blood, which Im paying for now. It hurts alot. stupid me. Thanks again.
