i started bouldering in a local gym about 2 months ago and can do most V0s and V1s with (in my opinion) terrible technique. I'm starting to do some V2s and have been noticing how big of a difference technique makes when you dont have the raw strength for stuff (which i dont have yet). is there any relatively-cheap book or free resource somewhere where i can read up on good climbing technique?

Another vote for SCC. Greatest training book I've read, hands down. Some bastard borrowed my copy and kept it for himself.

This only makes me feel worse--until I look at all the books I have. When you get SCC back, could you send it to me? I will return it promptly.

Your free resource is climbing with other folks - the stronger the better. And youtube - plenty of climbing on there that will have you making shapes in the air at work while you develop your own style. Wax on , wax off

Try to stay on your feet and only use your arms for balance. Try to find your center and stay over it. Keep your hips in close to the wall. If you fall, Fall trying. BREATH!!!!!
