You have a ways to go to make the "world's longest route list". I have a list of 2576 routes in Yosemite on my web page: http://www.stanford.edu/~clint/yos/update.htm If somebody has an online list of Joshua Tree routes, I've heard it could be over 4000-5000. Also, the quote in your sig is attributed to "Wolfgang Braun". Did you mean WBraun on supertopo? His first name is not Wolfgang. Also, I believe the quote is unattributed. http://www.climbrannoch.co.uk/...General%20Quotes.htm

Me three. It's especially idiotic when somebody posts 1 pitch climbs at smith rock as "long routes" at least I didn't read the whole thing.

I don't get it. Why do you people want to have 10000 posts ? Personally I want my average to do down to 1.0 posts per day (from 2.5)

This sounds like a good idea. In fact its so good that I suggest that the site does something about it. They could have a section on climbs, and list all the cliffs and routes in every area. Members could then add routes to the section, subject to moderation. This would make for the worlds longest route list if everyone ensured that their every cliff, and its routes, was included. BUT WAIT!!!!! It already exists at RC.com, so why waste effort creating a repeat of what is there. Perhaps its just a process of getting ones name into a public forum, for whatever reason, but, I suppose, it's better than the name being in the local crime pages
