Can you tell me the names of some sport shows or adventure shows where a man can meet people that are producing or distributing things for climbing .

Usually, the outdoor trade shows are reserved to those already in the industry, ie., buyers, sellers, journalists. the general public is not allowed to attend.

If you hang out at the hotel bars and have a good attitude, you can get often meet someone who will sponsor you in.

There are tons of trade shows, all over the country in different regions. The point everyone is trying to make is that you are not eligible to enter any of these shows without being an employee of a retailer. They don't want Joe Blow wandering around seeing product for next season. Even if you knew the name of a show, you would get tackled by security if you try to go inside. Pirate

Ok May be I dont use the right word for what I mean. How do you call a place and event where every retailer is showing his goods to the public. In Europe we call it Trade show or Exhibition.

Here's the site for Outdoor Retailer, which I think is the big trade show here in the US.

most canadian retailers are lumped in with the american shows. I have friends who rep and they always attend the outdoor retailer show in salt lake city.
