Just in case anyone else has been spending ages trying to find an up to date climbing guidebook for the picos de europa, (in english!), i have found one at http://www.climbpicosdeeuropa.com - its a download of up to date info about climbing and generally getting around in the Picos de Europa. If anyone else has any other useful info, i'd be grateful! Cheers!

Hi, There are few updated climbing books about Picos de Europa and the ones I know are in Spanish . One of them is "Picos de Europa. 100 vías de escalada" by Miguel Ángel García Crespo ,you can buy it on line in Desnivel. It´s a selection of 100 climbing routes in Picos.(check the following web). http://www.libreriadesnivel.com/listalibros.php I would strongly recommend you the following book, "Cordillera Cantábrica. Escaladas Selectas en Roca" by Miguel Ángel Adrados. This one is very complete, there are about 1200 routes topos, mainly multipitch but there is some info about sportclimbing spots of the area. Unfortunately this one is quite difficult to find. Anyway, if you need more info I can help you.
