try the official websites of climbing organizations. the rules probably wary between them. the usual for worldcup difficulty is this: all competitors are confined to an isolation zone, where they cant see thw route, they have a little time (usualyy 6min) to study the route with BOTH feet on the ground (they may touch the holds they can reach), then they go back to the isolation zone. then they go out of the zone one by one and climb the route (time is limited, depends on the route) on-sight. when they have climbed the route, they are not allowed back into the isolation zone. hope i was helpfull.
