I am getting into waterfall ice climbing and need some tools. I don't want to break the bank and can borrow tools until I find the right deal. Feel free to PM me with descriptions, prices, and where you're located. Good karma comes to people who give good deals to newbies.

Check out this link: http://www.sportextreme.com/pz315x232yUSD/ These are kick ass tools, and they sell on this site for $150 new, compared to $250 at your local store. Shipping to the states is only about $12, and you will get the tools within a week.

$150 for a $250 tool! It can't be true, but its on the website, so it is! *Runs around in a frenzy of joy* And there's nothing about a sale either! *Runs into door* -Transcript ends_

$250 for a Quasar? Where do you shop? Maybe it's an hyperbole....$215 is a little more reasonable. But yeah, $150 is awfully low...

Don't forget about http://www.barrabes.com/barrabes/default.asp. I just got my charlet moser pulsar's from them (at around $60 a tool less than REI). Total shipping cost was $30 (no tax on purchase, however, there was a $12 import fee from the mail carrier). If you take the time to figure out the math... you'll see it was still a good deal, and I received the product within 5 days of placing my order on-line. I'd highly recommend ordering from barrabes. Best of luck (you're gonna LOVE ice climbing!). -kelly.

Rocknpowda - What do we have to spell this out for you? Well, all right. 1. Go to www.barrabes.com 2. Look for ice tools 3. Buy said ice tools at ridiculously low prices, brand new even $155 for a brand new Quark ice axe does not get much better. They don't have many Black Diamond tools, but they have loads of Grivel, Charlet Moser, DMM, and Lucky tools. Quit pestering us.

Now I've got something new to throw into the mix! I will trade a full alpine ski setup for some good bent shaft waterfall tools: Salomon Supermountain skis - size 194 Salomon Propulse 900 Equipe bindings Lange X9 Race boots I know there is someone out there who wants this ripping set up.
