Hit the TRC on a tuesday and talk to Mike behind the desk, or just PM him on here (mikesaint). I'm sure he could introduce you to some people at TRC who would love a belay bitch/second. They'd show you how it's all done.

She could wear belay gloves, though, and kiss my skinned knees better when I blow a clip and ride to the deck. weird... she doesnt mind gettin dirty for me. big blue, dont go to umstead, climbing is closed there for a reason.... the boulders are quicky eroding away and climbing isnt helping. there are more than 3 ppl who climb serious at NCSU. most of em just dont go the to state gym cause it sucks after the first 5 times. if you want to meet the climbers of the area, go to TRC

10. Lead all good trad routes 5.8 and under in WA and near by places. 9. So that I will be even more comfortable with gear placing. 8. And may be my husband will come with me and enjoy climbing. 7. Lead more trad 9's and 10's, and feel comfortable doing so. 6. For sport climbing, onsight 10's and project 11's by the end of the season. 5. Get pregnant. 4. And still climb. 3. No injuries climbing. 2. Or doing anything else. 1. If my husband would climb with me and enjoy it, that would be so awesome.

clee03m wrote: 10. Lead all good trad routes 5.8 and under in WA and near by places. That's a tall order for a year, more of a life time pursuit. There are probably thousands of great moderate climbs in WA. And if you include neighboring areas you have squamish, city of rocks, the sawtooths, the selkirks, the bugaboos, smith rocks... Check out the Pearly Gates in Leavenworth, its a great place to work up into the 9's and 10's (get the real guidebook...all of the select books are missing many worth while routes). Castle Rock is also good and when you are ready for longer stuff WA pass and snow creek wall are both excellent spots.

10. Pull Harder 9. Go from having a good attitude to having a great attitude 8. See if Moonlight Buttress free is in the cards for me 7. Climb Gypsy at the Riverside Quarry 6. Climb more routes I haven't done in a 2 hr radius from home instead of driving 5. Repeat some of my friend's routes in the high Sierra 4. Consolidate my high altitude fitness and join my friends in their FA frenzy in the high Sierra 3. Do a climb in some sort of ridiculously funny style 2. Work toward improving access to local and non-local crags with the Allied Climbers of San Diego Top of the list of things to do: 1. Climb with my friends and give them support toward climbing harder

Josh, you forgot to mention your goal to ice climb! i love these threads cause they make you think about all the fun stuff you're gonna attempt in the coming year... in no particular order... *climb out west, maybe Yosemite, maybe Smith *trad, baby, trad!! I want to plug gear like nobodies business *get in shape *finish grad school, then tear it up *help move my friends out west, and climb all the way there *meet more cool peeps *not get sad that my friends keep moving out west *just like Josh, finally climb the Dacks *get exposed to aid climbing *learn more, keep it real, have more fun *meet more partners, since my friends keep leaving me *slow down and enjoy it all!

Goal: Get better, so my 5 year old son doesn't say "Dad don't try to climb the stuff I do. You might get hurt!" In short: Keep up with my son!

1. Redpoint 12d sport 2. Start projecting a 13- FA Its much easier to achieve your goals when you only have two.
