so my gym has an unstable floor (its covered in shredded rubber) and the only overhanging terrain is near the top (bout 35 feet up). whats the best way to set there? most routes i do hanging on a rope with a bucket of holds hanging on the rope next to me. I use temporary quickdraws in the regular bolts holes to keep me close to the wall for the most part. On the really overhanging section though, i have to put a draw in pretty much every hole as i move. It makes the work exhausting. Anyone have any tips?

Sometimes I wrap a daisy chain around a hold to keep in close to the wall. I also usually keep the bucket clipped to me, or I hang it on the quickdraws as I go. Other than that, I do exactly what you do.

an adjustable daisy chain clipped to the last draw could help you suck in better. Its hard to say not knowing how steep the section is, or what the wall profile looks like.

Our lead wall overhangs and when i set on that i pretty much do it the same. Its uncomfortable and awkward but thats pretty much setting for ya. On a side note, my mate made a seat which he clips into for setting because he got sick of sitting in a harness for hours on end. (he still wears the harness but his weight doesn't hang from it because he clips into the seat) It looked kind of like a an old school swing seat. It looks whacky but its really comfortable to set in!
