Just moved to Lakewood from Montana and looking for the better indoor climbing gyms in the area...any recommendations?

Closer is better, but if there is an outstanding gym further away I'll drive.

thrillseekers and paradise rock are the two gyms in denver, but if you're willing to drive to Boulder, the BRC and the Spot are very popular and considered among the best gyms around.

also, on july 25th, Movement opens up, and from the look of it, it could be the one of the best, if not the best gym in the country.

Actually Paradise is closed for now. Thrillseekers is probably your closest one, but I didn't care for it at all.

Rock'n & Jam'n has two in the Denver Metro area - Thornton and Centennial. They may be farther away than you'd want to go to regularly. But they'd both be closer than driving to Boulder. They are both good gyms. The north gym (Thornton) has a pretty huge lead wall. http://www.climbthebest.com/

If you truly are willing to drive a ways, then Movement in Boulder is going to be awesome. http://movementboulder.com

If you are mainly a boulderer, then this may be your ticket: http://denverboulderingclub.com/

What he said. Though I've heard Movement may not be all that and a bag of whatever, but I haven't seen it personally. My favorite is the Boulder Rock Club, probably followed by R&J1.
