Hi,

Aplogies I realise this is only semi related. However I am having real trouble finding a tramping / alpine climbing pack that will fit my wife. She is just under 5' tall but also has a small build and a short back. Just wondering if anyone out there is also very short and has managed to find a small pack! Ideally she would like one around 60L in volume. At present she has an osprey ?luna?, however it is too big for her. Have looked at osprey range (incl xs frame sizes) and they are all too big just to give some sort of an idea as to how small we are after. Tried searching on here too but couldn't find any old relevant threads, apologies if there are, I would love a link to them.

You may want to take a look at the technical packs from Granite Gear. I would specifically look at the Arête Ki, Alpine Vapor, or even the Meridian Vapor Ki. All three packs have torso lengths that go down to 15 inches. I hope this is helpful.

Fits down to 14" I think. I'm 5'5" and have a Gregory Shasta, which I dearly love. It's still comfortable with the heaviest load I can possibly carry.
