They are new to the market this year or last, I believe. I'm not sure, but I thought I heard somewhere that they were made by Wild Country. They are cheap, but I don't know much about them, except that I think they do not have passive cam stops.
I looked at the rei-outlet web page, and the only one I could find for $6.95 was the #2. Are there others that cheap hidden away somewhere else on the site?? If so, throw out the direct link, because I'm all about picking up spare cams for $7 each.

Clog is a good brand of cams, but I haven't found any cams on that site for $7. Found a #2 for $15.63, but that's it.
If you've seen them for lower on that site, please link to the page that has them.

I just ordered 5 and had no troubles (total was $40 including shipping). I don't need 5, but I have plenty of friends who would be willing to take a brand new cam off my hands for $8. And maybe I can find a desert crack somewhere that takes all #2 friends the whole way!

helps out to replace one left on the rock a few weeks back by my second, nice to get it replaced at $8 instead of $50

clogs are a decent brand. Unfortunately, I already have too many budget cams. I'm currently working on rounding out the Black Diamond portion of my rack (I need a 1,2,3). WooHoo!

Do you s'pose that it is a typo. They have other cams for $26.93. I think they forgot to put the 2 on the front. The question is will REI honor the typo. I ordered just in case they do...

Something is wrong, becuase it says you save 84%. You are saving a lot more than 84% if the original price is $45...

Actually, $45 with an 84% discount is $7.20. It's an 84.6% savings to be precise.

Yeah, the page for that cam is down now, perhaps we over-loaded the site and crashed it .

I bought on on Sunday night for $16.00, wish I would have waited a couple days!!!!!
Ah well...$16.00 is still alot better than $45.00!
Someone should call REI and tell em'to get rid of all those other cams for about the same price!

D'oh! Well, I just got mine that I bought for $16 last week - it is sweet! And yeah, it looks like they are sold out now.
I have the #3.5, it's a nice piece.
They suckered me in too - free shipping on a $100 order, so I went and bought a synthetic sleeping bag for $124, just so I could save like $5 in shipping. Dreaming of El Cap bivvies....
Is shopping a sport? If you use a credit card is it "aid shopping"?
