Hey all,

So, after extensive demo-ing at Ouray this year, I finally made the plunge and bought some Scarpa Freney boots and BD Cyborg crampons.

I just received them last night and I was putting it all together.

I have one simple question.

Anyone out there have this set up, and are you using the asymmetrical center bar? The Freney's have a pretty asymmetrical sole on them, and the standard bar kind of looks funny.

I can post pics if need be, but I figured I'd just see if anyone else has had this issue.

Cheers,
Tony

Nevermind!

I got a reply from BD about it already, and they said not to fret. I apparently don't "need" it, and the guy who replied uses the same set-up, sans asymmetrical bar, without issue.

=)

I have about the same setup (old cyborg) and it seems to work so far.

I was worried a bit about getting caught in the parts that stick out from the shoe, but so far it hasnt happened.

but i would be interested if anyone has the cyborgs with the asymetric bar, and how that fits!
