yes, I couldn't do 45. I've got different sections ranging from 10 - 20 - 30 up the the steep 80 and some roof though.

I will post some "day 2" pics later today.

I reckon I'll keep calling it a "The Cave" just because the whole area will be wrapped with holds - and it sounds Cool.

Cheers.

Just saw this "cave"...

"Many of the scientists who are stationed at the famous McMurdo ice station in Antarctica are into climbing, such that this rather claustrophobic looking bouldering room is one of the popular hangouts."

Why does nobody ever use a steel frame?
You need so fewer components.

ok - last one...

The carpenter work is done. Pretty stoked I must say.. I still have to install a bunch of tnuts - which means taking off the ply. Which kind of sucks but I made this thing way more complicated than the guy originally signed up for so it's all good. All of the over head stuff is done...

I'm going to do a bunch of sanding too before painting - probably next week.

anyway - day 3 - final day of construction.

it's hard to take 3 pictures and mash them together but I tried...

Cheers!

I like it!!
Super nice.

Is that a beer in the window?

If you say framers, did you have someone install it for you? Or is it a DIY?

Thanks! That's a cup of water not a beer in the window - but that is a nice 2 foot deep shelf, perfect for beers and tools. Smile

I am really happy with it. I used a house framer that wanted the job... I drew up some lousy drawings and drew lines on the ceiling and he ran with it. If I would have done it - it would look like crap!
