Live in Hampton roads area, looking for some good sport climbing up to like 3 hrs away, trying to plan something for this weekend if the weather can hold. All help is GREATLY appreciated!

Um, move away from Hampton.

Seriously, there is no good sport climbing within 3 hours. That time range will get you to Charlottesville, where there's some mediocre bolt clipping, but nothing worth that drive. Your closest good climbing is going to be 5 or 6 hours away in the great state of West Virginny...

Check out Manchester Wall in Richmond, I guess.

Manchester is the closest thing, like stated above. Other than that you need to drive to West Virginia to the New River Gorge.

manchester wall its kinda crappy. im sorta new to the hampton area too and i climb at the va beach rock gym. hear old rag is worth it so i might head up there soon so.n...

Old Rag is excellent climbing - but nothing in the vein of the stereotypical overhanging bolted lines 5 minutes from the car. Minimum 1hour hike up...

Most of Old Rag is trad though.. there are some boulders along the trail that have some good climbing. There arent any guides for the bouldering so be sure to post up some of the problems you make. Manchester Bridge in Richmond has some decent routes if you are looking for pure pump but no fun climbs. Good luck bro
