My wife and I will be spending most of summer in France next year. I am thinking we'll base in Provence where I have some family. What would be the most central place to stay in Provence to climb a variety of areas.

I know it will be hot, but I can live with that.

We'll be renting a place using http://www.vrbo.com, willing to do three weeks one place, three weeks another.

Thanks ahead of time,
Eman

Looks like I found a good place to stay for a month of so. Anyone here seen it first hand?

My apologies if I was not more helpful but I was travelling in Africa. If I recall Mayreste is a nice place to stay and quite close from the gorges itself and also from Lac Ste croix.
Hope the prices are reasonable.
Y.
