Going to Lebanon for two weeks and really do not want to go 2 weeks without climbing, does anybody know of any good places to rock climb I've had a look online and apparenly there's some climbs around Mount Lebanon.

I am not sure if you have been to Lebanon (Middle east) before and I am sorry I cannot help you better than that but I would suggest (if you have not already done it) that you get first some info on the "local" situation in this part of Lebanon (embassy or consulate or else) ... Y.

When are you going to Lebanon? I am going to Lebanon Nov-Dec. and I am in the same situation. I want to climb or hike and there is not a lot of information out there. Let me know if you hear anything, Cat

Apparently there's climbing around mount lebanon but I think it will be snowing then. I'm there from November 21- Dec 6

I was in Lebanon in March. You might want to check out the Kadisha Valley (also known as Qadisha Valley) in the north. I don't know if there is any established routes but the potential for awesome climbing is pretty amazing. Massive tuffaed gold and blue limestone cliffs. I stayed in a town call Bsharri at the end of the valley in a hostel called the the Tiger House Hostel. Really cool hiking, and is close to Lebanon's best Ski Hill called Ceders, (named for one of the few remaining ceder groves in the country at the base of the hill). Best couple days of my two month trip. Highly recommended.
