So myself and my climbing partner are planning on taking a trip to yosemite mid December and from what I've read camp 4 is the only walk in camp grounds to stay at will we have any problems getting a spot this time of year? Is their somewhere else we can stay any info will help out thanks

Upper pines is walkup only that time of year. I can't imagine any difficulty in getting a site.
Check out the deals at curry village, certain dates apply but you pay the nightly low (in fahrenheit) as your daily rate for an unheated tent.
