I have a pair of nomics that have the Astro pick.
I was wondering if any one could comment on the cascade pick. Im looking to replace my old battered picks and was wondering if I should stay with the Astros or switch to the cascadeds. I just Climb WI, no dry tooling

I prefer the Cascades on dryer, brittle ice. That said, in most conditions, I don't notice a ton of difference once I've tuned up the Astros with a file a bit.

Doesn't make that much of a difference, slightly harder to clean with Astro. Given that you need to buy new picks, I would just go with Cascade since you know you won't dry tool.
