Where to go in Dacks if it's drizzly

I'm planning to visit the Adirondacks this Easter Friday. It's supposed to rain a bit on Thursday and Saturday though, so I am wondering which areas are not going to have water running down them? I was hoping to do Chapel Pond slab, but I am thinking that it might be a bit wet (maybe icy). Anyone have some first hand experience?

Also hoping to move on to the Gunks Saturday and visit a friend in NYC, but that's looking pretty wet too.

The spider's web stays pretty dry as long as you don't have strong winds.

I'm quite certain the slabs would be quite wet!

If ya boulder, there's stuff @ McKensie Ponds near Placid.

King wall could possibly be good, if you climb .11-12.

Sometimes the Luther Wall (poko) is ok to climb even if it's been wet lately. Just remember, the rest of the Main Wall is closed for peregrines for now.

The slabs will be soaked / running. The Luther Wall, like just about all of the Main Face at Poko, is indeed under a peregrine closure. The first pitches on some of the King Wall routes will very likely be dry. The Web might be OK, though I suspect the insides of some of the cracks will be pretty damp. It would be worth a try in the afternoon once the sun has been on it for awhile, though.

The Luther Wall is *not* closed. It is, in fact, the only section of the Main Face that is open.

That said, it's not a place to go in the rain.

Lol, so it is! I looked at the original post, which clearly read "Luther Wall", but my brain registered "Pilgrim Wall". It comes with advancing age, I suppose. Thanks for the catch and correction. Much appreciated.

This just in: Routes 26-82 (Garter through Mogster) are closed, all other routes at Poke-O are open. So, Pilgrim Wall is open too.

Great news. Let the Poko season begin (post-monsoon, that is) !
