Me and my VW campervan are looking for a 20-40 climber who has no responsibility and could take off across the country climbing for an unknown amount of time starting late April early May. I am a 29 yo girl who boulders V5ish, sportclimbs 5.11ish and who hasn't done much trad or crack climbing but would like to do more. Also would like to do big wall climbing. I've been climbing 6 years and want to push the limits. I'm quiting my job, have money put away and am searching for the ultimate happiness. Doesn't matter if you are male or female, just have to be a confident climber with a good outlook on life. [ This Message was edited by: climbandboard on 2002-12-28 10:51 ]

I might be of some help. I will be starting a road trip myself but will be starting around the end of January heading to J-tree and surrounding area. I am at similar level by the sounds of things: sport 11's and boulder V5's and trad climbing experience for almost two years. I am not to sure where you might be headed but if its in the southwest area I'll be around to hook up with. Just give me a PM and we can chat some more.

I could join you for an occasional week or two at different times throughout your travels. I have a flexible schedule (fireman 10 days a month). Let me know with as much advance notice as possible so I can arrange time off. Happy Holidays! markjam@cableone.net

Hey, you know, I'm quiting my job around April and have the same thing in mind as you do. I got money saved, a reliable (so far) vehicle, and an ambition to climb. I'm bad at bouldering (its new to me), 5.11- sport, and 5.9/10 trad (with a goal of 5.11 trad by the end of this summer -we'll see.). I have big walls in mind for the summer and I also want to do some climbs in the Canadian Rockies.

You know, it could be fun to get a group of people out on a climbing road trip. Why doesn't everyone quit their jobs too.

I plan on living in Yosemite the whole summer. Or at least April, May, June, Sept , and October. I want to push my limits in climbing and live simple. I also have much money saved......as long as i don't eat at to many 5 star resturants.
