Dangnabbit, a friends kid just fell off our slackline and broke his arm. My kids have taken massive ugly spills without even a bruise.
Be careful out there.

At 5am on a Monday morning? Isn't a little early/late to be slacklining?

Yeah, slackline falls can be nasty and uncontrolled. Hope he heals up quick and not squinty.

Me too...
Anyway he's doing fine, he had surgery but he'll only be in a cast for three weeks, which is a huge relief coming into the summer.
Maybe we'll just go climbing next time, much safer.

Be careful out there.
(my bolding)

no offence intended, but kids will be kids, especially boys. They climb onto things, they fall off things. If it isn't a slackline, it would be a tree, or a playground set, or a porch. Anytime you're off the ground you take some amount of risk.

I work with kids, and WAY too many would rather sit in front of a screen than be out in real life. I think that's just tragic. This kid was doing the right thing getting off the couch and onto a slackline; I hope that one fall is going to scare him or his parents away from pursuing a rewarding, active hobby.
