They must spell Grand in Scotland different. I am not sure of my schedule yet. I Would be up for something that route is probably a tourist trap i would consider it. Terence

I understand what you are saying about it being a tourist trap, but I will be a tourist. I am open to other suggestions for day climbs e.g. Cathedral Spire. I have full rack, twin 9mm ropes, and a 60m 10.5mm. I do most of my trad climbing on the twin ropes.

Charlie P,

I will be in the area when you arrive in August, and I'd love to climb with you. I am inexperienced in trad climbing and would love to follow a solid leader if you would have me. I have a 70mm 9.5 and some other gear to contribute, as well as a guidebook for the area. I'd love to climb the Grand or some other moderates in the range. Let me know! Shoot me an email at 1robclark at g mail dot com.

Hey, CharlieP
I was planning on trying to summit the Grand on the 10th or 11th. My partners flaked out on me, so I went to plan B, a hand full of day hikes through out the park. I'm a solid 5.10 sport and 5.8 trad with full rack and ropes. If you already have a partner lined up, still let me know, if you don't mind a 3rd?
