I'm assuming this is the right place to put this, but if not I'm sorry. So I've wanted to take up climbing for a while now and my senior year of high school is coming up in 2 weeks. Part of our graduation requirements is that we must complete a "senior project" which includes a 10 page research paper, as well as hands-on experience with a mentor for a certain amount of hours. I looked into the whitewater center in my area and a season pass is aroung 160 dollars which expires in December.... Any ideas on where to find someone willing to mentor me? I live about 30 minutes outside of Charlotte in a town called Mooresville.

Inner Peaks may be a better gym for meeting up with mentors. I'm not from Charlotte, though.
