Hey I have just started bouldering... Gone a few times feel like I am increasing in skill level quickly. So far I have just been inside. How long till u think I would be ready to transfer to outside problems?

dendendenden, in my opinion - whenever. The only reason why indoor bouldering is "easier" then outdoors is the fact you dont have to take care of crashpads and as well some spotters(catchers) are usually around. But in case you are going to use some common sense and not climb something too dangerous(high, bad landing) you should be fine. To sum it up: 1. Go outside. 2. Find some boulders not too high. 3. Consider the landing (I assume you dont have crashpad yet). 4. Might be good if someone else accompanies you (spotting). 5. Enjoy it:) adam

I'm looking to do the same. Move it outside now that the weather is getting nice. I'd say I'm gonna go for it and if it doesn't workout first shot you know what u have to work towards. Don't be afraid to look for answers from climbers already there.

I guess my biggest fear is that the holds are so different from inside to outside and I don't know if I have the hand strength to move to the holds outside

oh man, dont be afraid of that...holds I mean. Just pickup some easy stuff, look it up in a guide book or ask for recommendation somebody more experienced. I can imagine people in the climbing gym you are going to might know the place where you live the best and recommend something appropriate for you... adam
