Hoping to make my first trip here tomorrow. How does this rock do in the rain? We've got some rain today but nothing crazy. Think it'll be dry tomorrow?

It should be okay i think. As long as it doesn't pour overnight you should be able to find some stuff to climb. If for some reason you get there and it's all soaked, White Rocks/Brown Rocks is about 15 minutes away and more exposed. Supposed to be windy over night, I think that would dry out faster.

Great, thanks! I think we might actually head out tonight and throw in some backpacking. Any idea if the path to Shaffer is marked from the AT? Thinking about starting at Rattlesnake run, getting a few miles in tonight and heading to Shaffer in the morning.

Yep it most definitely is. Blue blazes. There's actually a little cabin/shelter thing about 100 yards north of the rocks on the trail, although i'm sure it's probably reserved for this weekend.

Great, thanks man I appreciate it! Yea, I saw the cabin I think we're just going to find a place in the woods. You're right... it probably is booked up at this point.
